The room service menu at Charlotte Street Hotel leans toward British cuisine, with plenty of gourmet fare available to satisfy any appetite. Though not extensive, the menu does include appetizers such as Dorset crab cakes with lemon mayonnaise, glazed goat’s cheese with beetroot and pine nuts, and an endive, pear and Stilton salad. There is also a Caesar salad with chicken or king prawn, a broad bean, feta and mint risotto or a Portland crab and chili linguine. The grilled mains include rack of lamb with mint sauce, sirloin steak, steelhead sea trout with clam chowder, and also an Aberdeenshire beef burger. A homemade vegetarian bean burger option is available, as well as tuna steak with tomato and ginger salsa. Desserts include an Eton mess with passionfruit, raspberry and mango, a treacle tart with clotted cream and vanilla crème brûlée.
