What is involved in Dukes’s turndown service?

Answers from Our Experts (1)

Turndown service is provided to all guests staying at Dukes, leaving rooms refreshed and beds neatly prepared for a good night’s sleep. Pillows are fluffed, the duvet corners are turned down and slippers are placed on each side of the bed. On the nightstand, staff places a bottle of mineral water and an upside-down glass on a coaster, as well as a breakfast menu. We’ve had mixed luck having our clothing, shoes and toiletries straightened, but fresh linens and amenities are provided in the bathroom and a bath mat is laid out for those who prefer to shower at night. Lights are turned down, except for nightstand lamps, which cast the room in a soft glow and set the tone for guests to turn in.
