The guest rooms at Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane have a contemporary, warm design, with earth tones and luxurious textures used throughout. Lacquered walnut wood panels are used on the walls, purpose-built desk unit and closets, while brown tartan wool upholstery is used on the matching armchairs and curtains flanking floor-to-ceiling windows. White-veined marble flooring lines the long entry hallway, which features an inset baggage rack, enormous closet space (particularly in this city) and extra closet with an electronic safe. The bedroom area has a plush beige carpet and features a mix of luxurious textures, such as the mirrored sliding door leading to the bathroom, the leather hugging the desk and headboard and the cheery pale gold fabric wallpaper. Black-and-white framed photographs behind the sitting chairs provide a sense of place, depicting close-ups of classical architectural elements around London, such as an ornately carved fountain urn and a triple-arched bridge on the Thames, just in case guests forget where they are.
