What are the bathrooms like in the rooms at The Dorchester?

The elegant bathrooms at The Dorchester have art deco influences. White marble covers the space, including the walls and floor. The deep white tub has a partial glass separator with an etched flower. If you prefer a shower, the tub offers a regular shower head and a moveable wand. The Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel also equips the bathroom with a bidet, heated towel racks and a pair of white hooded terry-cloth robes with a gray border and a matching “D” on the breast. There’s an oversized mirror — with a retractable light-up shaving mirror in the middle of it — hanging over a marble-topped sink. On the counter, a silver tray holds two glasses and white washcloths. Check the shelves under the sink for cotton swabs, feminine hygiene products, a nail kit (an emery board and a wood tool), cotton rounds and swabs, and two shower caps with black hair bands. One of our favorite amenities in the bathroom is the bath products. We loved the zesty Floris lime-lemon-mandarin body wash, which came in a large tube. The London hotel also stocks smaller tubes of Aromatherapy Associates’ floral-scented shampoo and conditioner as well as bar soap.
