The Ritz London adds a number of special amenities in its rooms. All guest rooms come with marble fireplaces, Sony flat-screen televisions and DVD players, and Bose radio/CD players. We also like the non-food items in the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel’s mini-bars that can double as souvenirs, like The Ritz London Book of Afternoon Tea and The Ritz London Book of Etiquette, which are tied together in a navy blue ribbon with the luxury hotel’s lion logo in white. Check the organizer on top of the desk for additional souvenirs — postcards. One is a shot of the regal Palm Court with its marble columns, gilded ceiling, chandeliers and cream walls with gold accents. The other postcard shows the London hotel’s iconic sign with “The Ritz” in lights. To learn more about the hotel, thumb through The Cocktail Book: A Decade of Rivoli at The Ritz. It celebrates The Rivoli Bar, which reopened in 2001, and its recipes. Before you sit down to read, don the velvety navy blue slippers and the soft white robe.
