One of the best things about the recent renovation at Hotel Bel-Air is all the new in-room technology. Telephones have panels that let you control the lighting and temperature, schedule wake-up calls, place a do not disturb notice on your room and more. You’ll find phones throughout the room, too (we had three in a basic room on our last stay, one on each nightstand and one on the desk). An iPad also lets you peruse the room service menu, call for housekeeping and check local activities. You can flip all the lights on or off with master switches throughout the room, and high-definition, flat-screen televisions are by Bang & Olufsen. Bathrooms at the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel were also tricked out with heated floors, towel warmers and computerized toilets.
