The room service menu at Shutters on the Beach includes breakfast, which is served from 7 to 10:30 a.m. You’ll find a variety of juices; low-fat yogurt with berries; a fruit plate; bagels; omelets; lemon ricotta pancakes; French toast; a vanilla waffle with strawberries, bananas and whipped cream; smoothies (try the pineapple and coconut); plus a variety of egg dishes, including eggs Benedict.
A main menu is available from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., which includes starters such as a roasted beet salad, heirloom tomatoes, grilled fish tacos and salads. Entrees consist of grilled salmon with asparagus and lemon; seared tuna steak with chipotle lime corn; steak frites; ravioli Bolognese with slow-cooked veal and pork ragout; a hamburger; and lobster roll. A selection of dishes from the restaurant, One Pico, is also available from 6 to 9 p.m. and may options such as grilled octopus and mozzarella di bufala with broccoli rapini pesto and grilled bread or entrées such as Maine lobster fettuccini, sea bass and pumpkin cappellacci with garden sage and amoretti.
After 10 p.m., you can order from the late-night menu. Desserts include a fresh fruit cobbler with vanilla ice cream; chocolate lava cake; butterscotch pudding; a root beer float; and an ice cream sundae with hot fudge or caramel sauce. The staff will also package a number of items for you to take with you for your trip home, including a banana smoothie; homemade granola parfait with cinnamon yogurt and berries; a Cobb salad with chicken; a prime rib sandwich; a box of cookies; and other treats. (All of these options sure beat airline snack box food.)
Finally, a brunch menu is also available on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
