Whether you’re looking for traditional afternoon tea or fine dining, The Peninsula Beverly Hills has plenty of restaurants on the premises if you just want to enjoy your vacation inside this intimate Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel. The crown jewel of the hotel is The Belvedere, a Four-Star restaurant headed by chef James Overbaugh, whose modern American cuisine is revered in Beverly Hills. The Belvedere serves all three daily meals and features outdoor seating, so you can enjoy that truffle-marinated Chateaubriand of veal under the stars.
Head up to The Roof Garden for great views of Beverly Hills, island-vibe music and a relaxed poolside setting. Stay for a long lunch — may we recommend the Peninsula Cobb salad or the Angus beef burger with aged white cheddar — and don’t be surprised if you’re seated next to an A-list celeb.
Located off The Peninsula Beverly Hills’ lobby is the relaxed Living Room, a place to enjoy traditional afternoon tea, grab a coffee during the day or enjoy cocktails at night. An older, more sophisticated set hangs out here, listening to a harpist during tea time and the musical stylings of pianist Antonio Castillo de la Gala Thursday through Saturday night.
Dark, wood-paneled The Club Bar, located next to The Belvedere, is the perfect place to enjoy an after-dinner cocktail and share some small bites with friends. Cozy up in a booth and enjoy starters like baked oysters with a horseradish-parsnip purée or filet mignon and wild mushroom “hoagies” topped with truffle aioli, Gruyère cheese and caramelized onions. The atmospheric Oriental carpetings plus toasty fireplace make a classic venue for martinis and a single-malt any evening.
Our fine-dining restaurant at The Peninsula Beverly Hills is The Belvedere, which has an elegant interior and a sun-splashed patio. Guests dine alfresco at our rooftop Roof Garden, where every weekend during the summer we offer a barbecue dinner.
Guests can also dine in The Living Room, known for Afternoon Tea and evening performances of our resident pianist, Antonio Castillo de la Gala, and our Club Bar. With food served to guests in The Belvedere, The Roof Garden, The Club Bar and The Living Room, chef James’ kitchen staff turns out nearly 440 meals a day.
