If you receive exceptional service during your visit to Altira Spa – an unbelievably relaxing massage from your therapist, for example, or a last-minute appointment with the help of the receptionist – we encourage you to tip that member of the staff directly with an amount you feel is fair. This is especially important because while you will see a 10-percent service charge automatically added to your bill at this Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star spa, this fee goes directly to the spa and not to your therapist. If you’d like you can add extra gratuity to your bill by credit card, though cash might be easier.
After a relaxing treatment at Altira Spa, we won’t be surprised if you’d like to tip your therapist. Before you leave the spa, you can give tips in either cash or via your credit card. The credit card used will mostly likely be the card we already have on file from your security deposit. If you choose to tip in cash, you can give the money directly to your therapist. Have a question about the amount of a normal tip? Just ask us at the reception desk at the entrance of the spa and we’ll be happy to figure out the proper amount.
