Locations for weddings at The Peabody Memphis include the Plantation Rooftop, the ornate Continental Ballroom and the Art Deco-style Skyway. The hotel’s Plantation Rooftop overlooks the city of Memphis and has the Mississippi River as its backdrop. Adjacent to the rooftop is the Skyway, which was originally added to the hotel in 1939 as a supper club. It has retained its original Art Deco style, recalling the days when Tommy Dorsey and other swing bands used to play there. The Continental Ballroom is a gorgeous room with a built-in stage; and with the matching Louis XVI Room next door, the party can be expanded. One thing all brides and grooms should know before booking their special day at the luxury Memphis hotel: Weddings are not allowed during the hotel’s famed Peabody Duck March, which is held daily in the hotel lobby at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.
