Collins Park is the park closest to Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star The Setai, Miami Beach; in fact, it’s right next door. The park marks the beginning of Miami Beach’s 20-block-long boardwalk, and it often hosts temporary exhibitions during the annual Art Basel Miami contemporary art extravaganza, such as in 2010 when it was littered with large, pink snail sculptures. Otherwise it’s a peaceful spot for relaxing under a shady tree, having a picnic or for slowly strolling through on your way to the Bass Museum of Art.
Lummus Park, which runs along the oceanfront of South Beach, has some great people-watching opportunities, a busy park where people take their dogs for walks, zip around on rollerblades, run, bike or simply parade around wearing tiny swimsuits and not much else.
