There’s a range of special liquors on the dessert menu at Il Mulino New York, a Recommended restaurant at Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Acqualina Resort & Spa on the Beach. If you want to finish your meal with a glass of top-shelf spirits, options will include Johnny Walker Blue single-malt scotch, Remy Martin Louis XIII and ports from Dow’s Graham’s, Cockburn’s and Warre’s.
If a signature cocktail is more your style, the bartender at Il Mulino New York fuses Italian herbs with Miami flavor to create a series of totally unique drinks. One of our favorites is the Mamma Mia, a blend of red pepper and parsley-infused tequila shaken with fresh sour mix, brown sugar and cucumber. The pepper isn’t strong enough to be truly spicy, but bar manager Brian Diaz, who created the drink, says it’s enough to add a solid kick. His housemade sour mix, made with lemon juice and egg whites, gives a frothy coat to his cocktail, which he likes to serve straight up in a martini glass.
