A rooftop luxury spa in Milan
5 Treatment Rooms
If Milan is all about bella figura, the art of an effortless, well-put-together appearance, it’s fitting that the rooftop spa Club 10 - Fitness & Beauty Center is tucked away at the top of Hotel Principe di Savoia. With five luxurious treatment rooms, a glass-enclosed heated pool and a gym with cityscape view, Club 10 is the Principe’s jewel — a beautiful, carefree oasis in the busy city.
Located on the 10th floor of the Principe, the welcome desk at Club 10 is the only reminder that you are in a hotel. Smiling staff members ask you to check in, and quickly give you a bathing cap and slippers for the pool. Once you’ve walked through the dark wood hallway that leads to the pool, gym and treatment rooms, you realize that light is a key element here. All open areas include nearly full-length windows for maximum luminosity, creating a bright and airy vibe during the day and a gorgeous, warm glow in the early mornings and evenings. You’ll be able to take in a gorgeous Milan panorama when working out on one of the gym’s treadmills or elliptical machines. The Milan spa’s treatment rooms are comfortable nooks of warm tones and are bathed in light, too.
Club 10’s treatments tend to focus on one thing: replenishing the body from the stress of the every day, be it fighting it out on the floors of Milan’s Borsa (stock market) or battling crowds at popular cultural sites. Shiatsu, lymphatic, Ayurvedic, reflexology — many types of therapies are offered, but since this is the fashion capital of the world, Club 10 has several tailored services to get you to your best-looking self. Intrigued? Try the décolletage-toning Modeling Breast Treatment or the 110-minute Rosso Nobile Experience, an aromatherapy massage using red grape must and oil. Facials run the gamut from simple moisturizing therapies to serious anti-agers.
If you need a workout, Club 10’s personal trainers organize training sessions such as in-gym workouts, bike rides and city and park runs. And if you’ve brought the kids, don’t worry, you can get your sweat on after you can let them loose in the pool for private swimming lessons.
One of the things that makes this rooftop spa stand out from the rest is its 1,500-square-foot pool area, which is naturally lit throughout the day by the sun, and softly illuminated at night by the glow city lights. Lounges are set up around the pool and a nearby Jacuzzi so that you can soak in relaxation before or after sweating it out in the Turkish bath and sauna. Like most wellness areas, the luxury spa has a small café and bar, too, where you can snag a post-workout or spa service snack.
