Where can you watch sports in Minneapolis?

The Vikings, Minnesota’s pro football team, use the Metrodome as its home base; while the Twins, the state’s professional baseball team, play ball at Target Field. The Target Center is the official home of the Timberwolves since 1990, which is where you can catch Minnesota’s professional men’s basketball team.

After spending a few too many years in the football-focused Metrodome, the Twins packed up and moved to the beautiful Target Field in downtown Minneapolis (rated the #1 Fan Experience in all major league sports by ESPN The Magazine). While the Vikings are stuck in the Dome for a bit longer (any clear-headed Minnesotan will admit the venue has seen much better years), the purple and gold crew will be moving to a shiny new stadium also nestled in downtown (hopefully) in 2016.

On the NBA side of the sports fence, both the Timberwolves and the Lynx call the Target Center their home.

If you're looking for a little NCAA action, the Minnesota Golden Gophers are the main attraction in town. The Gophers baseball team smashes hits at the new Siebert Field and the basketball squad plays in the very-cool Williams Arena (aka The Barn). With its tight space and raised floor, the atmosphere in Williams Arena can become pretty wild during close games. The Gophers football team takes the field in the fairly-new, horseshoe-style TCF Bank Stadium.
