The holidays may be the most special time to visit Mont Tremblant’s Hôtel Quintessence. As general manager Michel Tremblay explains, “A stay here during the Christmas season is like visiting the lakeside home of a wealthy uncle.”
Rich décor of red, green and gold cover the boutique hotel’s stone walls and doors. Poinsettias add ruby-red touches of holiday spirit. A 15-foot Christmas tree stands in the lobby, and on Hôtel Quintessence’s waterfront terrace, a 30-foot tree covered in white lights acts as the hotel’s beacon on the edge of the snowy, frozen lake.
Santa Claus stops by during breakfast and brunch on Christmas Day to deliver presents to the children. Eggnog, hot chocolate and warm apple cider are served by the fire. And of course, the ski slopes of Tremblant are in full swing, with 95 trails for novice, intermediate and advanced skiers. If you can’t make it out for the holidays, the trails make the Mont Tremblant hotel a hot destination any time during the winter.
