If you visit L’Auberge Carmel with your children, you won’t find a room service menu available just for little ones. You can order the historic luxury hotel’s signature breakfast with eggs, fresh-baked pastries and fruit to be delivered to your room. The only other offerings for in-room dining are small plates; among those choices, the antipasto plate or the cheese plate accompanied by bread, preserves and fruit are most likely to appeal to children. If those won’t do, you can ask for a salad, macaroni and cheese or noodles with butter and Parmesan cheese. And it’s also possible to order kid-friendly fare from nearby restaurants Cantinetta Luca, which specializes in authentic Italian pastas and wood-fired pizzas, or 400 Degrees, which makes gourmet burgers and fries to match.
