In charge of the wine program at the Five-Star The French Laundry is executive sommelier Dennis Kelly, who will guide you through the sea of full-bodied Cabernets, grassy Sauvignon Blancs and refined Zinfandels offered on the restaurant’s wine list. Before joining The French Laundry, Kelly worked as the dining room manager and sommelier at Martini House in St. Helena, Calif., and as the general manager of Mona Lizza Ristorante in Eugene, Ore.
He was a captain at The French Laundry before stepping into the sommelier role. Kelly became a master sommelier candidate in 2007 by passing the advanced-level sommelier examination with the Master Court of Sommeliers.
