The stateside outpost of U.K.-based Tim and Kit Kemp’s Firmdale hotel group boasts the same eclectic English country-meets-modernist design as its London sisters (think layers of fabrics, textures and colors). Located on a cobblestone street in Soho, Crosby Street feels more residential than most hotels. Crosby Bar is a colorful spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner, while the adjacent sculpture garden is a great spot for a drink. The cozy Drawing Room’s honor bar holds tea, snacks and buckets of wine on ice. Guest rooms are uniquely decorated, but include luxurious beds loaded with Frette linens and plush pillows that are almost too pretty to mess up. Bathrooms feature white marble, Miller Harris for Crosby Street amenities and towel warmers. The Meadow Suite includes its own private terrace and garden. On Sunday nights, enjoy the Film Club, which takes place in the state-of-the-art theater with leather seats and a high-definition screen.
