The Carlyle is Art Deco in style, boasting one of the most luxurious hotel lobbies in New York. Dorothy Draper originally designed the black and white marble space, old-fashioned with an understated class. Draper’s influences live on throughout the hotel’s 190 rooms and suites, which were later updated by Mark Hampton, Alexandra Champalimaud, Thierry Despont and other well-known designers. Each space at the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel is custom-designed with attention to classic detail and modern amenities.
