What are the best rooms to stay in at The Mark?

Based on a recent visit, we’d say that the best rooms at The Mark are either the Madison Rooms or the one-bedroom Seventy Seven Suites — so named because they overlook East 77th Street. Standard-sized guest rooms at the New York City Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel are on the cozy side and don’t feature much of a sitting area, save for a large padded stool underneath the television. But the suites and Madison not only feature an additional guest bathroom, they offer full living rooms with queen-sized sofas where you can relax and pour yourself a whiskey on the rocks from your private bar. If you do go with a standard-sized room at this luxury hotel, however, you’ll want to reserve a Seventy Seven King. The courtyard rooms, while quiet, don’t have the best views (unless other people’s living rooms are your idea of scenery), and leafy East 77th Street is a much nicer alternative.
