The St. Regis New York’s Astor Court serves breakfast daily and brunch on Sundays. The grand in-lobby restaurant offers breakfast-standard waffles, cereal and pancakes, as well as more surprising standouts such as the Galician tortilla with chorizo and piquillo peppers and the soft poached egg with caviar.
Our favorite breakfast offerings include the freshly made Granny Smith apple and mint juice; the Manhattan breakfast with smoked salmon, a bialy and cream cheese; as well as the signature St. Regis omelet, made with oven-dried tomatoes, artisanal ricotta cheese and basil. The restaurant serves breakfast Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 7 until 11:30 a.m.
You can also order breakfast through the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel’s room service. There’s a variety of cereals, oatmeal, fruit, eggs and omelets, as well as corn-flake-crusted brioche French toast with caramelized bananas and strawberry butter, Belgian waffles and buttermilk pancakes with chocolate chips and other treats. Muffins, breads, croissants, fresh juice, coffee and tea are available, or, for something different, you can choose from five specialty combination breakfast platters, such as the American breakfast with two farm-fresh eggs, breakfast potatoes, juice, coffee and sausage.
