While the bar offers a full list of top-quality spirits, we love ordering the specialty cocktails at Marea because these drinks have been carefully crafted and are imaginative and satisfying. For whiskey-based drinks, we love the Sugarbush, made with Irish whiskey, nocino, pure McClure maple syrup and lemon. It’s warming, slightly sweet but also strong. Another drink in the same family is The Great DiMaggio made with Bulleit bourbon, zucca amora and cochi Americano. Lighter options include the Yellow Sapphire that’s made with Bombay sapphire, bittermens citron, chartreuse jaune and lemon. A drink at the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star restaurant that’s reminiscent of a warm summer day is the Portofino, a carbonated blend of aranciata, Belvedere orange vodka, Campari, and acqua di cedro. Though, if there’s something on the menu that doesn’t suit you, feel free to ask the bartender for a recommendation or he can come up with something that will be more up your alley.
