Our Inspector's Highlights
- Toronto-based design firm Chapi Design infused timeless elegance into the ship’s public spaces. The dominant color palette features pale blues and warm grays. The choice of soft, curved silhouettes complements the maritime environment beautifully.
- The museum-worthy art collection onboard enhances the rarefied-yacht feel, with more than 730 pieces, including works by some of the world’s most recognizable names: David Hockney, Alexander Calder, Henri Matisse and Andy Warhol, to name a few.
- Each of the five restaurants on the ship is a culinary destination. However, the standout options are Beach House from chef Michael Mina with Middle Eastern dishes with Mediterranean flavors and Seta Su Luminara by chef Fabio Trabocchi (of D.C.'s Fiola) featuring a multi-course contemporary Italian menu. Please note that dining at Seta requires reservations and incurs an additional fee.
- Wellness is a central component of the overall experience. The ship features a fitness and open-air cycling studio that hosts classes, including sunrise yoga and barre sessions, alongside a well-equipped gym. Additionally, the 11-room spa offers destination-inspired treatments using products from ESPA, 111SKIN and Italian grooming line Pisterzi. Best of all, passengers can enjoy the steam room whenever they like, free of charge.
- Passengers will find an abundance of activities available. From the floating lounge pool platform in the sea and kayaks, paddleboards and Seabobs, to chef-led cooking demonstrations and nightly live music, Luminara offers something for everyone.
The Staterooms
- A good night's sleep is guaranteed with the push of a button. Each suite is outfitted with a touch-activated system that triggers blackout shades and activates soundproofing. Of course, the Ritz-Carlton's legendary plush king-sized bed helps as well.
- London-based AD Associates took inspiration from Maltese lighthouses and the Knights of Valletta when designing the ships' 226 suites. Subtle references to maritime lanterns and hand-stitched leather that evoke the craftsmanship of a knight's armor create spaces that feel fantastical in the best possible way.
- The suite’s most notable feature is its exceptional level of comfort. Each room includes a private terrace, and most come with dedicated living space, double vanities and his-and-her walk-in closets. The marble-clad bathrooms are equipped with premium Dyson and Diptyque toiletries, and the minibar can be stocked according to personal preferences.
- Whether on land or at sea, the Ritz-Carlton is renowned for its spectacular service. The Luminara personalizes the experience, with each room featuring a dedicated suite ambassador available to assist with every detail, big or small.
- This ship marks the debut of a new suite category, the over-the-top Residential Suite, which boasts more than 1,000 square feet of space, including an elegantly appointed living and dining area, a soaking tub and a glass-enclosed shower.
