Guests staying at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa are typically there to visit the theme parks (with the occasional jaunt to the beach). Disneyland Resort’s traditional peak periods are during the summer months and the two weeks around the Christmas holiday. But it seems everyone wants to visit the mouse all the time. Don’t despair, there is a quiet season, and that’s when school is in session. September, October and November (except Thanksgiving week) are good months to visit, and weekdays are always better than weekends for obvious reasons. Beginning the second week of January, the crowds taper off, and February and March are moderately quiet times as well. That is until spring break hits and mobs of tourists return both to the Anaheim hotel and the theme parks.
