Palm Beach Spa at Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach

Rejuvenate in Palm Beach paradise
VERIFIED LUXURY
If you’re looking for a rejuvenating retreat from the South Florida sun and the Palm Beach social scene, look no further than Palm Beach Spa at Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach— this 11,000-square-foot oasis may occupy the most peaceful slice of paradise on the island. The spa’s design, with custom-painted seagrass wallpaper and coral-inspired light fixtures, draws from nature’s most soothing elements. Services, enjoyed in 11 treatment rooms named after Florida flora such as jasmine, also take inspiration from local, natural ingredients, including algae and key lime. If it’s Zen you seek, you’ll find it in spades here.

Of course, you’re still in Palm Beach, so glamour and opulence aren’t completely checked at the door. You’ll enter this peaceful spa by walking past its full-service salon and down a grand staircase carved from a single slab of marble.

Our Inspector's Highlights
  • In the cream and blue reception area, where walls have been hand-painted to look like stone, a table is set with fruit-infused tea and oversized shot glasses.
  • Though the hotel spa takes full advantage of the adjacent seascape in terms of treatments and décor, it also incorporates the global influences its therapists pick up on frequent world travels.
  • Look to the Cultural Discovery Treatments menu for exotic experiences you won’t find elsewhere.
  • The 80-minute Indus Valley Ritual, for example, includes a warm foot bath, a full-body massage and shirodhara, an ayurvedic therapy in which warm oil is poured on your forehead to promote relaxation.
  • No matter which experience you choose at the tropical spa, you’ll exit up the marble staircase feeling refreshed.
Things to Know
  • The spa’s website is the easiest way to book your preferred treatments.
  • Regulars have the option of choosing a specific therapist and all guests can select their preferred therapist gender.
  • If you’re reserving appointments for a group, you can book for up to four people at a time online.
  • It should be noted that certain treatments, such as the signature Kate Somerville facial, must be booked over the phone.
The Treatments
  • The most popular massage is the Palm Beach Signature, an 80-minute treatment that uses a variety of techniques, heat packs and essential oils (Florida key lime and vanilla) to relieve tension.
  • The Rejuvenating Stone Massage uses both warm basalt and cool marble stones to target your muscles.
  • For a quick pick-me-up, choose the 25- or 50-minute Beach Break, which focuses on your neck, back and shoulders. Mothers-to-be will also find a prenatal massage on the menu.
  • Those looking to go beyond the usual massage treatments should try the reflexology massage. All of the spa’s therapists are certified in reflexology, and they offer this pressure-focused treatment in 25- and 50-minute sessions.
  • You can also further customize any of the massages offered with add-ons such as an aloe skin quench or a Moroccan oil scalp massage.
The Rooms
  • Past the fully stocked changing areas, a eucalyptus steam room, a whirlpool and ladies’, men’s and coed relaxation areas beckon.
  • Spend some time in the coed room to enjoy more tea and seasonal cookies such as chocolate-orange or chocolate chip with oats and sunflower seeds.
  • Beyond boasting a cozy coed lounge, Palm Beach Spa is an good choice for twosomes looking to reconnect; a large couples treatment room can be booked for massages and 25- or 50-minute “couples time” add-on sessions in which masks, scrubs, creams, refreshments and privacy are provided.
  • Men can also reserve the Willow Room for a proper barber’s hot shave in front of a flat-screen TV.
