Comprised of five Haussmann-era buildings, Park Hyatt has been transformed into one structure located on Rue de la Paix in Paris’s 2nd arrondissement. The Neighborhood

The Rooms

With an understated look, rooms and suites are decorated with neutral colors, luxe custom-designed fabrics and sleek minimalistic furnishings. Each room is equipped with satellite television, high-speed Internet and a Nespresso coffee machine. Exquisite bathrooms feature limestone soaking tubs and rain showers. Parisian perfumer, Blaise Mautin, not only designed the Paris hotel’s signature scent, the toiletries also bear his name.

The Food

Led by chef Jean-François Rouquette, Pur’ is contemporary in design and features a rotunda as its centerpiece and has a chef’s table that overlooks the open kitchen. The seafood-heavy menu also offers items such as Wagyu beef, lamb and pigeon. An extensive wine list and delectable cheese trolley are the epitome of what they should be in a fine French restaurant. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and weekend brunch are all served in the lobby restaurant, Les Orchidées. Enjoy lunch in the great outdoors at La Terrasse April through October or cozy up to the see-through fireplace at La Cheminée for drinks and light bites.

The Spa

With its sleek design featuring gold tones, rich mahogany, limestone and black granite, Le Spa is a tranquil escape from the city. At nearly 2,700 square feet, the spa is outfitted with a steam room, sauna, whirlpool, high-tech gym and four treatment rooms. Attention to detail is paramount here, as the music, lighting and scent of the spa were all custom-designed. Five signature treatments feature Crème de la Mer, the ultra-posh French skincare line.

The Shopping

For those looking to exercise credit cards, Park Hyatt is just a few minutes walk from Paris’ famed shopping areas Place Vendôme, known for its exquisite jewelry stores, and Faubourg Saint-Honoré, home of designers such as Karl Lagerfeld, Christian Lacroix, Lanvin and Givenchy. The luxury hotel can also arrange an in-room shopping experience with 10 Vendôme, a clothing and luxury consulting company. Four different packages are available, ranging from a consultation with a personal shopper to a meeting with a designer who will sketch a haute couture dress — all to be had within the comforts of the hotel.
