Our Inspector's Highlights
  • The lodge is located at mid-mountain, about 8,500 feet above sea level. This means ski-in/ski-out access and mountain biking are right out your back door.
  • Two heated outdoor pools and hot tub are available year-round, with complimentary sunblock for guests to use. Many rooms at this Park City hotel also have their own private hot tub on the patio, perfect for a little R&R after a day on the slopes.
  • With 16 treatment rooms, private showers and tubs, fireplaces and more, the Five-Star spa is the perfect place to relax and recline in the lap of luxury.
  • Stein Eriksen Lodge’s gym looks out on the quaint houses of nearby villages — a breathtaking view you can enjoy while using one of the many treadmills, elliptical machines, free weights, bikes or yoga balls provided by Life Fitness.
  • The Glitretind is one of the most celebrated dining spots in Park City — the restaurant has received a Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star designation for some 20 consecutive years and been mentioned in numerous “best of” lists.
Things to Know
  • If you aren’t accustomed to high altitudes, you should give your lungs a day or so to adjust before jumping into intense exercise.
  • Hiking boots, hats and sunblock will keep you protected out on the trail and bringing a few extra outfits will keep you focused on the adventure, rather than washing your clothes. But the lodge provides overnight laundry service in case you need it.
  • Utah state alcohol laws require that anyone ordering drinks at a restaurant must also order food, so if you’re planning on sampling some of the onsite restaurants’ cocktails, be sure to bring your appetite.
The Rooms
  • All rooms have exterior entrances, so you won’t have to cut across the lobby every time you leave.
  • Thanks to the vaulted ceilings, bedroom areas at the Five-Star hotel feel open and roomy. Many of the rooms also have stone-hearth gas fireplaces and an outside deck with tables, chairs and a private hot tub.
  • Facing the wall-mounted flat-screen TVs are one king or two queen-sized beds with comfortable mattresses and several pillows.
  • The bathrooms are stone-tiled, keeping with the hotel’s natural feel, and have both a jetted bathtub and a separate shower with Molton Brown bath products.
The Restaurants
  • The Glitretind’s warm and elegant setting is perfect for a romantic four-course dinner or for a hearty pre-skiing breakfast buffet.
  • The inventive menus focus on a global cuisine experience, with dinner entrées like Kobe Pot Roast, Hawaiian Barramundi and Peas & Carrot Risotto.
  • One of the Lodge’s on-staff sommeliers can assist in pairing wine with your menu selection. The collection at Stein Eriksen Lodge includes more than 10,000 bottles.
  • Troll Hallen Restaurant Lounge, adjacent to Glitretind, has the same stunning views with a more casual, après-ski vibe. It houses the Lodge’s bar and has a fireplace that invites lingering.
  • The après, dinner and dessert menus include many guilty pleasures with a gourmet twist, like Stein’s Garlic Cheese Fries with asiago cheese or Pork Belly Potato Skins with avocado mousse and pico de gallo.
