During the holidays, Stein Eriksen Lodge holds a handful of holiday events for its guests. For children, there are gingerbread-making kits and classes, and plenty of inspiration from the masterfully crafted gingerbread creations on display. Close to Christmastime, there is a reading hour for kids in the main lounge at this Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel. Dinner buffets for adults and kids are hosted on Christmas Eve and Day and on New Year’s Eve. The latter has late-night seatings that include a champagne toast. Horse-drawn sleigh rides are available throughout the winter months but are especially magical at Christmastime; the 30-minute rides take guests on a tour of mid-mountain Deer Valley Resort.
Stein Eriksen Lodge offers holiday buffets for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day, Easter and Mother’s Day. The Main Lodge is decorated for the winter holiday season with a large gingerbread creation on display. Story time, a visit from Santa Claus, and two gingerbread house making classes with the chefs are also scheduled during the holidays. Multi-course plated dinners are offered on both Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. On New Year’s Eve, the party offers live music, dancing, a midnight toast and fireworks display. In the summer we feature a Fourth of July barbecue on the decks.
