In the winter, a complimentary breakfast buffet is included in the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Stein Eriksen Lodge’s nightly room rate. The substantial spread, served in the Glitretind Restaurant, includes hot and cold classic breakfast items, like buttermilk pancakes and oatmeal, alongside chef’s daily specialties. It’s a tasty way to load up on calories before expending energy on the mountainside. Troll Hallen Restaurant Lounge has an à la carte menu during the peak season, too.
In the late spring and summer, breakfast is served at the Glitretind, with main courses like the Lodge’s famous Norwegian Potato & Bacon Pancake or a Mountain Continental Breakfast. Additional selections include Irish Oatmeal, Stein’s Housemade Granola and assorted pastries and cold cereals.
