The best way to see Park City in one day is from the mountains. In the winter, head straight from the airport to the skiers-only Deer Valley Resort. If you’re a snowboarder, take your board to Park City Mountain Resort. Hit the slopes for the better part of the day, stopping to enjoy ski-in/ski-out lunch at one of Deer Valley’s glitzy restaurants, like the Four-Star Glitretind Restaurant tucked away in the mid-mountain Stein Eriksen Lodge, or try Apex at Montage Deer Valley. Take in the beautiful mountain views and refuel.
In the summer, swap those skis for hiking boots or a mountain bike and catch a lift to mid-mountain trails. Enjoy lunch at Deer Valley’s Royal Street Café. Après ski (or hike), head to the city’s Historic Main Street. Scoop up some coffee or a treat from Java Cow to fuel your stroll up and down the scenic street, where you can peruse boutiques and galleries. If you’re really tired, hop aboard the Historic Main Street Trolley, which, by the way, is completely free of charge. Grab dinner at one of the dozens of restaurants along Main Street, such as Talisker on Main, Wahso, Café Terigo or Wasatch Brew Pub Cantina. Wander further on Main Street for a nightcap or late bites before calling it a day. A full day on the mountain is taxing, so you’ll be ready to hit the hay.
