The Rittenhouse sits in the heart of Philadelphia in Rittenhouse Square — a historic park that teems with life all day and night. The Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel flanks the west side of its namesake green space, giving it the most prestigious address in town. Philadelphia is one of the country’s great walking cities, and the hotel’s central location makes it easy to explore. Stroll a few blocks and you’ll have your choice of trend-setting restaurants (though the luxury hotel’s Four-Star Lacroix at The Rittenhouse may make you want to stay in to dine) and the great shops of Walnut Street.
Set out for a 20-minute walk to discover world-class museums, the river with recently rehabbed walking trails, distinct neighborhoods and even more eateries (Philly is a fantastic restaurant town). Of course, transportation is readily available — cabs are easy to hail, Philadelphia International Airport is eight miles away and the nearby art deco 30th Street Station has Amtrak trains running up and down the East Coast.
