JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa has eight different restaurants located on the property. You can find everything from a casual poolside café to fine dining. The signature restaurants are Roy's, Tuscany and Meritage Steakhouse at Wildfire Golf Club.
Created by well-known restaurateur Roy Yamaguchi, Roy's serves Hawaiian fusion, such as roasted-macadamia-nut-crusted mahi mahi, or Thai curry grilled swordfish with black forbidden rice and grapefruit-pineapple slaw. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. The patio is especially nice in the cooler weather, when you can sit near the fireplaces.
Meritage Steakhouse specializes in prime aged porterhouses and other meat, wild game, fresh seafood and side dishes. The cherry-wood-filled dining room offers a country-club-like setting. Dine on the patio near the fire pits to get views of the golf course.
Tuscany serves modern Italian food and focuses on using locally grown produce. Take a seat in the open kitchen for lobster ravioli with tomatoes, spinach and caramelized fennel in a Madeira-butter sauce. Or opt for a handmade pizza — such as the one topped with salami, mozzarella and caramelized onions — that comes out piping hot from the wood-fired oven.
The other restaurants at the Phoenix hotel include the poolside Just a Splash Bar & Grill, Revive Spa Bistro and, of course, a Starbucks.
