What are the guest rooms like at Royal Palms Resort and Spa?

Answers from Our Experts (2)

The guest rooms at Royal Palms Resort and Spa in Phoenix are relaxing and luxurious, with an architectural design style that reflects the resort’s Southwest location. The Spanish Colonial style can be found in the stucco gas fireplace, the use of earth tones throughout the room, and the artwork, which includes weathered wood and pressed dried flowers. The rooms also include luxurious and spacious bathrooms, which feature exceptional appointments like marble floors and counters. It’s easy for two guests to bathe, dress and groom at the same time, with a deep-soaking tub, walk-in shower and a separate water closet.

The Royal Palms Resort and Spa offers 119 custom-appointed guest rooms arranged in intimate clusters of casitas and villas.

The Montevista is an enclave of Mediterranean-inspired guest rooms and suites. Its 21 estate rooms, 16 estate suites, six spa terraces and 26 terrace and suite rooms are residential, cozy and luxurious, with separate soaking Roman tub and shower. Warm woods and jewel-colored pillows surrounded by patina walls create a comfortable and elegant ambiance. The spaces include flat-screen televisions, stylish leather chairs and ottomans, and working desks. Depending upon your choice, rooms offer either a balcony or terrace. The spa suites are tailored for in-room spa treatments. Most have mountain views and all overlook the courtyard with its water features and fireplaces.

The resort’s 17 designer casitas are bungalow style with exposed wood-beamed ceilings. Each one was individually designed with custom furnishings by members of the American Society of Interior Designers. All of the casitas offer walk-in showers, separate tubs, and private patios. Furnishings differ among casitas but include canopy beds, wrought-iron lighting, custom-made tables, and in one casita guests can enjoy a sliding table built to accommodate breakfast in bed for two.

The Mediterranean design continues in the resort’s 30 Valencia casitas, which offer renovated color schemes and floor tile, along with wrought-iron four-poster beds, and French doors that open to beautiful patios.

The resort’s four villas range in size from the 900-square-foot Honeymoon Villa to the 2,300-square-foot Presidential Villa. The villas feature king-size beds, stone floors and fireplaces, and private patios.
