The 24-hour room service menu at The Fearrington House Inn is overseen by executive chef Colin Bedford — known for his dedication to using local and seasonal ingredients — and includes somewhat lighter options like soup, sandwiches, salads and pasta. Some of our favorite options include the grilled triple cheese sandwich with red-onion marmalade; the grilled flatbread with prosciutto, blue cheese, arugula and pine nut- and-raisin dressing; the chicken salad with apples and grapes; and the macaroni with shrimp, andouille, corn, red peppers and seafood cream. Should you just want a small nibble during your stay at the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel, the selection of regional artisan cheeses with chutney or the local cured meats with housemade pickles are perfect for a sunset bite — ideally consumed outside if you’re lucky enough to nab a room with a patio. Between 6 and 9 p.m., you may also order a three-course gourmet meal from The Fearrington House Restaurant to be delivered to your room, along with optional wine service.
