Should you want to exercise while staying at The Fearrington House Inn, you’ll have to take a short drive (via chauffeured golf cart, of course) to the Duke Center for Living’s Health and Fitness Center, but don’t let that deter you — the massive gym complex boasts a wealth of equipment along with a fully equipped locker room. You’ll need to check in at the front desk to get a key for the light wood lockers, and you’ll find stacks of neatly folded brown towels at the entrance to the locker room. Several vanities with hair dryers are available for when you get out of the shower, and also offer basics like cotton balls and tissues. We wouldn’t describe the locker room as luxe by any means, but it’s clean, well-organized and spacious, which sometimes is all you need.
