Seafire Steakhouse & Bar

A refined New York-style steakhouse
VERIFIED LUXURY

For carnivores, if there’s one spot that stands out among the stellar collection of restaurants at the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Atlantis, The Palm, it’s Seafire Steakhouse & Bar, a refined New York-style steakhouse with a warm marble, wood and stone interior; handsome leather booths; and velvet chairs.

As you set foot into the restaurant and walk past dry agers showcasing premium cuts, it becomes evident that meat takes center stage here. Inside, chefs are at work in the open kitchen and cooking steaks to perfection on a custom wood-burning grill while a walk-in cellar houses an astounding selection of more than 500 wines from around the world.

Besides some of the best beef you can feast on in the city and delicious seafood, this Dubai restaurant is a favorite on the city’s dining scene for its world-class service and live music three nights a week. Open only for dinner, it’s just as suited to date night as it is to a birthday celebration.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • The menu focuses on high-quality beef sourced from renowned Australian producer Rangers Valley and includes non-GMO-raised Black Onyx Angus (a 100 percent Black Angus beef grain-fed for at least 270 days) and a range of wagyu from Australia and Japan, including Kobe and Saroma.
  • A meal at Seafire Steakhouse & Bar is about more than ordering off the menu; the complete experience includes choosing your ideal steak by cut, age and marble score, as well as your cooking preference, salt, condiments and sides.
  • You also get to pick a knife from a selection that consists of a German butcher blade, a Moroccan hunting knife, a traditional Arabic dagger, a U.K. stag-handled knife, an Australian bush knife, an American Navajo Indian knife, a Japanese Shun knife and a French Laguiole.
  • While it’s primarily a steakhouse, there are plenty of excellent seafood options, including the locally farmed Dibba Bay oysters, Seafire shellfish tower, Maryland crab cake, organic local salmon and grilled Maine lobster.
  • On weeknights, it’s all about the food, but the Dubai steakhouse takes on a livelier vibe on the weekends, thanks to live jazz from Thursday to Saturday.

The Food

  • From the appetizers menu, regulars highly recommend the beef tartare and savory doughnuts stuffed with braised short rib and dusted with Parmesan charcoal — a creative dish that celebrates what this spot is best known for.
  • While the 250-gram Black Onyx filet mignon is the most-ordered steak on the menu, there’s a range of prime cuts on offer, such as the 350-gram New York strip and boneless rib-eye.
  • If you’re dining with friends or family, consider ordering one of the sharing-style steaks, such as the 1,200-gram dry-aged tomahawk or the 600-gram chateaubriand, cooked as per your preference and carved tableside.
