Globally inspired dishes by Daniel Boulud
VERIFIED LUXURY
Chef Daniel Boulud has been at the forefront of French gastronomy on the global stage for decades, most notably through his eponymous New York City restaurant — once famous for creating the world’s most expensive hamburger. He brings that same spirit of innovation to his first signature restaurant at sea, Le Voyage by Daniel Boulud (which also is on Celebrity Ascent and Celebrity Beyond ships).

As Celebrity Cruises’ global culinary ambassador, Boulud draws inspiration from flavors and dishes encountered during his travels. The result is a menu that feels genuinely international rather than strictly classic French haute cuisine. Even so, nothing about the experience is scaled back: expect white tablecloths, welcome bubbles and an amuse-bouche, alongside an award-winning wine selection.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • As one of the ship’s most elevated specialty dining venues, and one that carries an additional charge for most cruise guests, Le Voyage sets a clear sense of occasion from the outset. The intimate 50-seat dining room, designed by Parisian architect-designer duo Jouin Manku, is wrapped in gentle amber lighting and muted earth tones, with tables cocooned by cascading mesh curtains that form privacy-friendly nooks.

  • To suit a range of tastes and appetites, guests can choose from three dining formats: a five-course tasting menu, a five-course plant-based tasting menu or an à la carte experience.
  • Each meal begins with a complimentary glass of champagne and an amuse-bouche, presented by a white-gloved server who is happy to answer questions and offer suggestions tailored to your tastes. While the menu leans seafood-forward, allergies and dietary preferences are readily accommodated.
  • At Le Voyage, guests are never hurried through the experience. Dinner unfolds over a leisurely two-hour service, allowing diners to fully savor each course.
  • The award-winning wine program has been thoughtfully curated to complement the tasting menu. The more than 500 selections span French classics such as Sancerre and Sauternes, alongside standouts like a rich, minerally Condrieu from the northern Rhône region.

The Food

  • The five-course tasting menu constantly evolves to reflect seasonality and freshness, but seafood remains at its heart, with dishes that might include “tuna crudo Riviera” with fennel and black olive, Alaskan king crab salad in a ginger-lime dressing and a buttery lobster risotto.
  • Vegans and more health-conscious eaters are well catered to with a dedicated plant-based tasting menu, featuring dishes such as roasted beet salad over grilled kale and farro, a fragrant green Thai curry with tender vegetables and crunchy peanuts, and an egg-free pavlova with raspberry and lime — proof that eating green can still feel deliciously indulgent.
  • The menus embrace subtle fusion, pairing French technique with global flavor accents, from duck pithivier with Chinese five spice and bok choy a Tunisian-style tartare de boeuf brightened by harissa, warm spices and peppermint labneh.
  • Even carnivores find themselves charmed by the roasted cauliflower off the à la carte menu, accompanied by aromatic lentil ragout and Pondicherry lime pickles for a vibrant South Asian accent.
  • Make sure to leave space for dessert. The “Café Cardamom” is presented as a towering stack of house-made Ethiopian coffee-infused ice cream, chocolate financiers, and cocoa foam — and there’s even a wine pairing to go with it.
