What restaurants at The St. Regis San Francisco are best for families with children?

The St. Regis' upscale restaurants are not the perfect fit for families. It's not because kids aren't welcome (they most certainly are); but since the Five-Star hotel has a sleek and sophisticated feel, it isn't a perfect fit for the sippy-cup set. Breakfast and brunch spot Vitrine is more suitable for families with children than Ame, the dinner-only lobby restaurant. Ame’s chef’s can prepare kid-friendly requests, such as chilled pasta, but there is not a set kids menu. In-room dining, however, is another story. A menu for the 12-and-under set features crowd pleasers such as chicken fingers, organic hamburgers and chocolate chip cookies with milk.
