The Phoenician charges an optional $29 resort fee. The daily fee includes the usual perks, like high-speed Internet access and unlimited local and long-distance calls. But it also gives you use of the facilities at the hotel’s Four-Star spa, The Centre for Well-Being at The Phoenician; half off of the center’s fitness classes; and access to the gym. If you are the sporty sort, the $29 will get you playtime on the hotel’s tennis courts — no need to bring your own racquet and balls, they are provided — bike rentals and 50 percent off of driving range fees at the golf course.
If you elect not to pay the resort fee at the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel, you’ll have to spend $10 a day to work out in the gym. Also, be aware that parking is $29 per night if you choose to use the valet and free if you self-park. Certain room rates also include an additional fee for extra rollaway beds, children’s beds and cribs; be sure to confirm any extra charges when you book your room at the luxury hotel.
