You can find lots of reasons to celebrate during any time of the year by participating in The Phoenician's diverse holiday activities. In the spring, there’s an Easter Carnival complete with an egg hunt for children. In the summer, be sure to check out the Fourth of July All-American Ice Cream Social at this Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel, topped off with a spectacular fireworks show from one of many resort balconies. In the winter, there’s a host of holiday events, from the ceremonial lighting of the Menorah to an annual Christmas Eve reading by Mrs. Claus herself. In November, try the traditional Thanksgiving brunch buffet served in the Camelback Ballroom of this Scottsdale hotel. The buffet features carved turkey breast, butternut squash stuffing, sweet potato casserole, giblet gravy and cranberry sauce, along with prime rib of beef, a tamale station, pastries and desserts. From December 1 to January 1, enjoy a festive Holiday Tea from 1:30 to 3 p.m. in The Phoenician Tea Court accompanied by a live pianist. If you have little ones, be sure to schedule Breakfast with Santa, which includes breakfast; a commemorative digital photo with an authentic Old Saint Nick; cookie decorating; and classic holiday movies. A traditional Christmas brunch buffet is offered on Christmas Day, as well as a New Year’s Eve Party on December 31. Additional seasonal events at the luxury hotel include pottery painting; panning for gold; rock and mineral exhibits; and junior tennis and golf clinics.
