Nestled against Camelback Mountain, The Phoenician features the travelers’ trifecta of big views, opulent décor and a surprising amount of fun, making it different from many other hotels. With eight pools spread across this Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel, you’re bound to find yourself taking a dip or — for those with a wild streak – careening down a 165-foot twisting water slide. Mountain hikes, art tours, golfing and spa pampering are all part of what makes this Arizona resort one of the top in the Valley of the Sun, but it’s the staff that really sets it apart. Accommodating to the umpteenth degree, the staff at this Scottsdale hotel will not only bend over backward to keep you happy, but they can also just about predict your needs. It’s little touches like that ride — and the wide vistas and glittering pools — that make The Phoenician a standout.
