You’ll have no trouble finding great food at several price points among the restaurants at The Phoenician resort in Scottsdale. This Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel features three main restaurants ranging from casual, classic American fare to fine Italian dining, a café and ice cream parlor and a poolside grill.
Decorated in rich chocolate brown velvets with pale blue accents and striking contemporary lighting, Il Terrazzo features Italian regional fare under the direction of chef Kyle Lipetzky. Specialties include hand-crafted pastas and artisan bread baked fresh every day. If you’re in a hurry, try the upper level Il Terrazzo Di Luce, or “terrace light,” which provides a more casual atmosphere for quick meals or a convenient continental breakfast. The upscale J&G Steakhouse features a changing, customizable menu of fresh meats and fish interpreted by the restaurant’s namesake chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. The J&G décor is lovely — enhanced by rich leathers, colors inspired by steak and wine, and natural stone and wood accents — but the view from the spacious patio is even better. If the weather’s nice, be sure to request a seat outside. With breathtaking golf course views, Relish Burger Bistro is a good choice for casual dining, featuring gourmet burgers, classic comfort foods, killer desserts and Arizona’s largest tequila collection. Comfy leather seating abounds at Relish, offering a clubhouse atmosphere with plenty of vantage points for catching the game on flat-screen televisions. Still hungry for more? Check out The Phoenician’s charming onsite café and ice cream parlor where you’ll find not only fresh-baked pastries and homemade ice cream, but also reasonably priced snacks, breakfast items, specialty salads and sandwiches.
