Unlike many major hotel chains, Park Hyatt Shanghai does not charge a booking fee. Upon checking out, though, you’ll find that all guestrooms have a 15 percent service charge, as do massages at the hotel’s Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star spa, Water’s Edge, Shanghai. Valet parking is 40RMB (US$7) an hour or 80RMB (US$12) for an all-day spot. The friendly concierge is happy to arrange car service starting at 400RMB (US$62) an hour and to book meeting spaces that are equipped with LCD projectors and international teleconferencing. Prices vary according to the venue size. Luckily, though, you don’t have to pay the exorbitant fee for wireless Internet that other hotels charge since the entire Shanghai hotel has blazing-fast, free Wi-Fi.
