One of the best special amenities at Park Hyatt Shanghai’s stunning 66-foot-long infinity pool — flanked by cushioned wooden benches and modern, porcelain boulders — is its view overlooking the Huangpu River from the 85th floor. Another nice amenity is that every day from 8 to 9 a.m., the in-house tai chi master performs in the poolside courtyard. Those who’d rather lounge on the nearby pillow-filled white daybeds receive a welcome drink, or you can order off of a special smoothie and tea menu. Then again, just swimming in the turquoise-tiled pool is an amenity in and of itself; those who aren’t staying in the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel must pay a steep RMB500 (US$80) entry fee.
