There are six different wedding packages at The Langham, Xintiandi, Shanghai that range from RMB6,888 (US$1,093) to RMB17,888 (US$2,839) for a table of 10 (prices exclude a 15 percent service charge). The Grand Ballroom at the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel can seat up to 300 people. If you choose to have your wedding at the hotel, you’ll get exclusive access to shoot photos in Xintiandi, a collection of restored traditional Shanghainese stone houses that are now filled with restaurants and shops. The packages also include a room at the hotel, plus AV equipment and food service from one of the luxury hotel’s restaurants, Cachet or Ming Court. Cachet is the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant and serves mostly Western food like pan-seared bluefin tuna with vegetables and risotto with miniature mushrooms, pumpkin and smoked duck. Ming Court, which is the sister restaurant of the award-winning Hong Kong eatery that goes by the same name, serves up classical Cantonese favorites like fresh crab wok-fried with ginger and spring onions and steamed with rice wine.
