After a long day in meetings or tromping around Shanghai exploring the city’s museums and shops, you’ll welcome a relaxing dip in The Peninsula Shanghai’s indoor heated pool and use of all of its special amenities. Although we recommend trying the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel’s other in-house restaurants (especially its Western fine-dining venue, Sir Elly’s), the pool does offer a special menu of healthy cuisine, like salads, sandwiches and fresh fruit juice. Plush robes and slippers are provided by the pool in both adult and child sizes, so your kids can lounge alongside you. Note that the 82-foot-long Art Deco pool can get deep (up to 4.4 feet) in certain areas, and if you do have children, you’ll need to watch them closely.
