The best table at Jean Georges can be found on the couches by the window or in the light-filled alcove that becomes private with the sweep of a heavy curtain. During the winter, the windows can be a little drafty, but it’s lovely to have your own corner and good views of both the humming dining room and the city skyline. Just outside, the Pearl Tower dominates the skyline — a stunning sight considering, until about 15 years ago, the area was made up of just farmer’s cottages and marshland. It now boasts some of the most memorable skyscrapers in the world, and provides a view that has become one of the biggest draws at Jean Georges.
