The vegetarian and vegan dishes at Yi Long Court are few and far between. Chef Dicky To’s cooking expertise revolves around seafood and traditional Cantonese dishes — many of which involve pork and animal products. However, that’s not to say all is in vain for vegetarians. There’s a passel of vegetable dishes on the menu, like eggplant and leafy greens. Many items on the menu come with a meat garnish, but it can easily be taken away if you inform the waiter of your dietary restrictions. Also helpful would be calling the Shanghai restaurant ahead of time to inform it of your vegetarian or vegan requirements. That way, the kitchen has time to prepare some menus ahead of time for you.
