The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong Spa by ESPA doesn’t offer in-room treatments, but we don’t think you’ll mind. Despite how well appointed the hotel’s guest rooms are, you’ll want to take advantage of everything the spa has to offer. Slip into a red armchair in the lobby and enjoy a cup of tea while you peruse the treatment menu, or make your way to the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star spa’s locker rooms, where you can warm up in the sauna or steam room and cool down at the ice fountain. If you want to take a dip before or after your treatment, the hotel’s infinity pool offers views of the surrounding Pudong cityscape from 50 floors up. The pool is just over four-and-a-half feet deep, so although kids under 16 are not allowed in the spa, your children can join you in the pool.
