If you’re looking to grab a cocktail before you head out to dinner, take a seat in the stylish Axis Bar and Lounge, the main bar at Mandarin Oriental, Singapore. Open from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday, the space is a comfortable, dimly-lit spot where you can sample creative cocktails such as the dessert-like Tiramisu, made with Absolut vanilla vodka, Kahlúa, espresso, fresh chocolate and mascarpone. The bar also serves afternoon tea, which features British-style tea cakes, scones and sandwiches and potent brewed teas, daily from 3 to 5 p.m. with an additional seating between 12 and 2:30 p.m. on weekends and public holidays. Axis can be found on the fourth floor of the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Singapore hotel, and has views of Marina Bay.
